Jim spoke to Ken Allman who will gather information to begin
working on a website with links, posting capabilities.
Will cost us upfront and maintenance. Proposal will be
presented at next meeting. Secretary position discussed, no
determination. Jim will send e-mail to group regarding
secretary position. Volunteer needed.
By-laws can be amended.
Next event: NMSU in Sept/Oct. Date must be set,
committee determined. NMSU/UTEP student status to be
considered. |

Tricia motioned treasurer's notes be approved; Karim
seconded the motion. Kristi presented group ad opportunities
(to be determined by July for discounted rates), offered
convention calendar/dates, best attended conventions and
information on the N.T.I. on 5/20-5/25/06 in Anaheim, CA.
Group considering hosting a cocktail party in a suite.
Wednesday night is not good because an event is already planned
for the nurses. Cards would need to be printed and given
to specific booths.
Karen has been contacted on the N.T.I Initiative.
Kristi shared her thoughts on the best conventions:
Critical Care, ONS, ENA and Student Nursing.
Val produced a flyer for group "Look/See" which
will be presented at the conventions/fairs and will be on
website. Flyer passed around for changes.
Next meeting will be lunch on May 19, 2006.
Jim will send an announcement on the restaurant that has group
facilities (Cooperidge, Hilton, Chama River all discussed
options) and where we will meet. We will be the audience
for a presentation on recruitment. |
